REVEAL

Defend Dignity’s Reveal Events are designed to educate and raise awareness about the complex realities of sexual exploitation in Canada. Each event is carefully curated to reflect the unique needs and context of the local community in which it is held.

Each Reveal Event is not just an event—it’s a catalyst for action, equipping communities with the knowledge, tools, and inspiration needed to protect the vulnerable and confront sexual exploitation head-on.

What Happens at REVEAL?

Every Reveal Event can include a combination of three components:

Survivor Testimony: At the heart of each event is the powerful story of a survivor. These personal accounts reveal the devastating impact of sexual exploitation and emphasize the urgent need to shift societal attitudes—making it clear that buying sex is never acceptable.

Law Enforcement Insight: A local police officer, often from the ICE (Internet Child Exploitation) unit, presents community-specific data and firsthand knowledge, connecting national issues to local realities.

Public Policy Advocacy: A public policy analyst provides clear direction on how to advocate for stronger federal legislation to protect youth online and support enforcement of Canada’s existing laws that criminalize sex buyers, not sellers.
